Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting our network, software, hardware, system, and internet-related electronic data or devices from theft and cyber-attacks.

Cybersecurity is one of the burning issues in today’s internet world. Technology is increasing alarmingly, and with this increase in technology, billions of people have gained access to the internet.  But there has been time to time concern over the privacy and theft of data. Cyber-attacks have cost us billions, so it is very important to save our system from these attacks. Cybersecurity is mostly used for these cyber threats given below:

1.Malware

Malware is any file or program that is designed to gain unauthorized access to our computer system. Examples are worms, Trojan horses, spyware, and computer viruses. These programs are mainly designed to damage our data.

2.Social engineering

Social engineering is one of common attack where adversaries use to trick us into revealing sensitive information. It is basically a trick, where a link or files popup or send and when we use those files our sensitive information is stolen.

3.Ransomware

Ransomware is a malicious software which is designed to access money from the victim by blocking its various computer system. In this attack, a payment is asked to unlock the system and does not guarantee if the system will be restored or recovered.

4.Phishing

Phishing is a form of attack where fraudulent emails are sent to you that resembles an email from reputable resources. The main motive of this attack is to steal sensitive information login information and credit card information.

The prevention of Cyber-attacks is very demanding in the current scenario. So, it is us who can work individually to prevent our system from these kinds of attacks.

Here are some of the preventive measures that we can apply to protect our system from cyber-attacks.

•Keeping an update of the OS

New updates are mostly provided with new features and methods of security with market demand. Outdated and older versions are often easy for hackers to hack and seal information because of the weak system.

•Installing Anti-Virus

Anti-virus detects the unusual activity in our system, prevents and aware of the possible worm or virus.

•Back up the data

It is one of the important strategies software companies implement. Backing up your data once in a week is the most important strategy to deal with the cyber-attack.

•Create Secure Passwords

Creating secured passwords are hard to guess and there is less chance that there is theft of data from login. It is recommended to use a different variety of characters like symbols, numbers, capital, and small letters.
